Sourcing
Product bought from refineries, producers and established traders against your specification.
How we transact
Every Qurais cargo follows the same process, from first enquiry to final documents. You always know what happens next, who is responsible and how your payment is protected.
The process
Send us your product, quantity, delivery port, terms and timing using our enquiry form or the Expression of Interest template. Before we make a firm offer, we complete know-your-customer checks.
We will ask for: company registration and licence, details of directors and beneficial owners, a bank reference, and identification for the authorised signatory.
We issue a written offer with product specification, quantity tolerance, pricing basis, laycan, Incoterms and inspection arrangements. Once agreed, both parties sign a sales and purchase agreement.
The buyer opens an irrevocable documentary letter of credit, confirmed by a first-class international bank acceptable to us. We nominate the vessel once the LC is operative.
An independent inspector (SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas) checks quantity and quality at the load port and issues the certificates. Discharge port inspection can be arranged on request.
The cargo is delivered on the agreed CFR, FOB or DES basis. We present a full set of shipping documents to the bank under the LC.
Typical documents: commercial invoice, bills of lading, certificates of quantity, quality and origin, and cargo manifest. Insurance certificate where terms require it.
